President Donald Trump commuted the sentence of Alice Johnson Wednesday after a high-profile visit from Kim Kardashian.

Johnson, 63, was sentenced to life in prison for non-violent drug charges. Kim Kardashian celebrated the event on Twitter, thanking members of the administration who made it happen.

“So grateful to Donald Trump, Jared Kushner & to everyone who has showed compassion & contributed countless hours to this important moment for Ms. Alice Marie Johnson,” Kardashian said.

A daughter of Johnson joined MSNBC via phone on Wednesday, and she made sure to thank President Trump multiple times during the interview. “I want to publicly thank President Trump. Thats’ awesome,” Tretessa Johnson said on air. Host Craig Melvin continued to ask Johnson about the pardon and how she found out about it. Johnson said she found out her mother was pardoned “watching TV.”

She described how happy she was and went back to thanking Trump and Kim Kardashian.
