Melania Trump made her first public appearance outside the White House since her emergency surgery last month.
Wednesday, the first lady stepped outside the White House with President Trump on her way to the Federal Emergency Management Agency headquarters in Washington.
According to the White House pool report:
“Pool glimpsed POTUS and FLOTUS walking out of the White House and stepping into their car at 1:52 p.m. FLOTUS was wearing a long, beige trenchcoat and POTUS a dark suit.”

Melania Trump has been recovering since undergoing emergency kidney surgery in mid-May at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. She underwent a surgery on a benign embolism. The surgery was successful.
In recent weeks, the media has speculated about Melania’s whereabouts, floating conspiracy theories that the first lady was not at the White House or recovering from plastic surgery. CNN’s Brian Stelter claimed, “There’s been questions about her surgery, her time at Walter Reed and now her invisibility.
Trump also attended a celebration for Gold Star families at the White House on Monday.
