President Donald Trump praised his wife and first lady Melania Trump at her first public appearance in nearly a month after recovering from kidney surgery.
“She had a little rough patch, but she’s doing great,” Trump said, adding, “I love you, and the people of our country love you.”

Theories abounded in the weeks Melania did not appear publicly with several media outlets running stories questioning the White House’s silence on the matter. Melania appeared in her official capacity for the first time at a Gold Star Families White House reception Monday evening and will make her public debut Wednesday.
Trump blasted such media speculation in a series of Wednesday morning tweets.
The Fake News Media has been so unfair, and vicious, to my wife and our great First Lady, Melania. During her recovery from surgery they reported everything from near death, to facelift, to left the W.H. (and me) for N.Y. or Virginia, to abuse. All Fake, she is doing really well!

…Four reporters spotted Melania in the White House last week walking merrily along to a meeting. They never reported the sighting because it would hurt the sick narrative that she was living in a different part of the world, was really ill, or whatever. Fake News is really bad!
