Dana Bash of CNN’s “New Day” shared a conversation she had with the president’s lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, in which she said he doubled down on his comments about Stormy Daniels’ lack of credibility.

The CNN chief political respondent said Giuliani “completely stands by” his comments.

Giuliani said to Bash, “If you’re involved in a sort of slimy business, [that] says something about you. Says something about how far you’ll go to make money. A person who would say no isn’t going to do something very demeaning like that for money.”

The president’s lawyer then added, “A person who would do that for money — our real point about her is she’s not just generally un-credible, she’s credible from the point of view of wanting to get money. She’s a con artist.”

The conversation between Bash and Giuliani comes after Giuliani began receiving backlash for insulting Stormy Daniels’ credibility based on her profession at an event in Israel.

“If you’re going to sell your body for money, you just don’t have a reputation. I may be old-fashioned. I don’t know,” Giuliani said.
