Donald Trump told NBC’s “Meet the Press” in 1999 that he would “negotiate like crazy” with North Korea if he ever got the chance.

“First I would negotiate,” Trump told MTP when asked in 1999 if he would launch a preemptive strike on North Korea as president. “I would negotiate like crazy, and I’d make sure we would try to get the best deal possible.”
“We have a country out there that is sort of wacko … and they are going out and they are developing nuclear weapons,” he continued. “Wouldn’t it be good to sit down and really negotiate something?”
