Armed Walmart Shopper Kills Alleged Carjacker

An armed carjacker was shot and killed by a bystander, ending an alleged crime spree Sunday afternoon in Tumwater, Washington.

Police responded to reports of a drunk driver going down the wrong side of the street at around 5:30 p.m. When they arrived at the scene, they were unable to locate the vehicle. There, police received further calls of a nearby carjacking at Tumwater High School, according to The SFGate.

Again, officers were not able to locate the suspect, but found an injured 16-year-old girl in the parking lot who was allegedly shot by the suspect before driving to an area Walmart. Police learned of another shooting upon arriving at the Walmart. The same suspect allegedly tried to carjack two more vehicles. One of the vehicles had a man inside, who was shot twice during the carjacking, reports The News Tribune.

Two bystanders drew their weapons with at least one killing the suspect. The injured man was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center an is reportedly in critical condition.
