Americans have been celebrating Independence Day on July fourth since 1777. Nearly 250 years later, we continue to celebrate our favorite holiday in many ways.
From shooting off fireworks to grilling burgers and hot dogs, Americans commemorate independence from the British empire every year in many different ways. Some of us like to stay at home with family while others like to leave town and go on vacation.
Whether you prefer to enjoy the beach, or you prefer to spend your holiday on the couch at home, no other holiday can remind us of our nation’s great pride like the Fourth of July.
