U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers caught four MS-13 and 18th Street gang members in Texas, according to a press release Monday.
Two MS-13 and two 18th Street gang members were arrested across the Rio Grande Valley over a period of two days.
MS-13 members were caught near McCallen and Roma, Texas. One is a Honduran nationalist while the other an El Salvadorian nationalist, according to CBP.
An 18th Street gang member was captured near Mission, Texas, and is an El Salvadorian nationalist. The other was arrested by Fort Brown CPB agents, who obtained records that revealed extensive criminal history for the El Salvadorian.

Law enforcement has been taking a stronger stance against gangs as they are becoming more widespread in the U.S. MS-13 and 18th Street members are “now targeting younger recruits more than ever before,” according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
