Joe Scarborough called out Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz for contentiously flip flopping on his political positions, Friday on “Morning Joe.”

“I wonder what people like that just sit back and while — Donald Trump is mocking John McCain, while Donald Trump is mocking George H.W. Bush, after all they’ve given to this country and after all of those people and other Republicans, to sit back and say nothing. It’s so funny,” Scarborough said. (RELATED: Alan Dershowitz Challenges Joe Scarborough To A Debate On ‘Morning Joe’)

“Some of these same people would attack me in real time after I said, like, George W. Bush lost the first presidential debate. Laura Ingraham the next day slamming me. How dare you say that about George W. Bush,” he continued.

Scarborough said most conservatives will go whichever way the political winds are blowing and singled out Dershowitz by name.

“It doesn’t matter who’s in power with them. They’re like Alan Dershowitz,” he said. “Like moths that go to the flame.”

Scarborough was likely responding to Dershowitz’s challenge on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” Thursday, to debate him on “Morning Joe.”

“Put aside clam bakes and cocktail parties and put aside what ‘Morning Joe’ was saying. I challenge Morning Joe to have me on the show when he mocks me so I can respond,” Dershowitz said. “It’s easy and kind of unfair to attack someone and not give them the opportunity to respond. Let’s see if he has the guts to put me on the show to tell his viewers the truth.”
