Abortion groups are raising hell in fear that President Donald Trump’s Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh will infringe upon abortion rights, but another abortion clinic opened Monday in Columbus, Ohio.

Your Choice Healthcare opened on the Northeast Side of Columbus and offers medication abortions but no surgical abortions.

“The more options patients have to be able to access the care they need in a safe place in their community, that’s a positive thing,” NARAL Pro-Choice Ohio Executive Director Kellie Copeland said, The Columbus Dispatch reported. “Ohio has lost half of our abortion clinics since 2011, so if there can be an expansion in care available that would be a wonderful thing for patients.” (RELATED: Reversing The Abortion Process Is Possible, And One State Could Make It Easier To Do)

The abortion pill costs roughly $300 to $800 depending on the state and the woman’s health care plan. The abortion pill costs $525 at Ohio’s new clinic, according to its website.

A group of pro-lifers gathered outside the clinic Monday to protest the clinic’s opening. “Babies have a right to be born,” protester John Tuttle told The Columbus Dispatch. “And I’m hoping that with President Trump’s support, we’ll get a Supreme Court justice who will help overturn Roe v. Wade.”

Thirty-four states mandate that clinicians who perform medication abortions be licensed physicians, according to the Guttmacher Institute. The abortion pill is 98 percent effective for women less than eight weeks pregnant and 96 percent effective for women eight to nine weeks pregnant. For women who are between nine and 10 weeks in pregnancy, the abortion pill is 91 to 93 percent effective, Planned Parenthood reported.
