Nigel Farage, a member of the European Parliament, slammed British Prime Minister Theresa May on “Fox & Friends” Friday for sabotaging Brexit.

“Do you know something. To put through something like Brexit, you know, to turn the state around by 180 degrees — take back our independence. To do these things, you have to actually believe in it,” Farage said. (RELATED: Farage Thinks Theresa May Will Sabotage Brexit If She Stays In Power)

Farage said May has always been against Brexit and lacks the competency to carry out the will of the British people.

“Theresa May as you point out was a remainer. Let’s be frank, she’s not up to the job,” Farage continued. “If she stays as prime minister, we are not going to get the Brexit we voted for. The sense of betrayal in this country will be huge. And I very much hope that she is out of office before too long.”

Farage said UK Parliament member Boris Johnson is the favorite to take over for May and is more likely to support a sensible Brexit plan.

“The favorite to succeed her is Boris [Johnson]. You know, and Boris did and — okay it took a long time, but when it came down to the line, Boris did back Brexit,” he concluded.
