South Carolina Republican congressional candidate Katie Arrington attended her first campaign event Monday since returning to the trail after a car accident left her seriously injured on June 22.

Sporting an American flag-themed cast on her left leg, Arrington addressed the East Cooper Republican Club in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. She discussed her gratitude to her supporters and her opposition to offshore drilling, reported The Post and Courier.

For now, Arrington is getting around in a wheelchair and is tweeting with the hashtag #RollingBackOnTheTrail as she returns to the public eye. She is expected to make a full recovery.

Arrington was sitting in the passenger seat when another car driving in the wrong lane smashed into the South Carolina state representative’s vehicle. Arrington’s driver, her friend Jacqueline Goff, was also critically injured, reported The Post and Courier. (RELATED: Sacha Baron Cohen Tries And Fails To Dupe Matt Gaetz On His Crazy New Show)

The other driver, Helen White, died at the scene. She was legally drunk while behind the wheel.

Arrington and Goff were hospitalized in serious condition. Arrington was moved out of intensive care on June 28 and began physical therapy after surgery on her abdomen and back.

She will be in a wheelchair as she eases back into campaign mode, but she is expected to make a full recovery.

She thanked God during her first post-accident cable news appearance Friday.

Arrington spoke with Ainsley Earhardt of “Fox & Friends” about how her faith sustained her after the accident, which left her with two broken ribs, fractured feet and abdominal bleeding. (WATCH: Katie Arrington Thanks God For Her Life During First Cable News Appearance Since Car Crash)

“That was God’s good embrace holding me,” Arrington said. “I never lost consciousness throughout the entire event which is insane … It’s something I thank God for, because I’m thankful to every face that helped me and every soul that worked as such an amazing team to save my life.”

She gained national attention when President Donald Trump endorsed her via Twitter in her bid to be representative of South Carolina’s 1st Congressional District over rival candidate GOP Rep. Mark Sanford on June 12, the night of the Republican primary.

Arrington beat Sanford 50.6 percent to 46.5 percent.
