Director of the U.S. National Economic Council Larry Kudlow provided insight into the country’s recent economic boom and contradicted Democratic Socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s reasoning for the uptick during “Fox & Friends” on Wednesday morning.

“By the way, unemployment wouldn’t be that low if [Americans] had two jobs. What’s really happening is more people are working, which she won’t acknowledge,” Kudlow stated.
“Look, I love a good socialist, particularly in the Democratic Party. I’m a free market capitalist. The marketplace is working, the participation rates are rising, the unemployment rate obviously is down across the board [for] blacks, Hispanics, women, you name it. No, no, she’s factually dead wrong,” he continued.
His comments came in response to the airing of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a Democratic Socialist running for Congress in New York, who said, “Unemployment is low because everyone has two jobs. Unemployment is low because people are working 60, 70, 80 hours a week and can barely feed their family,” in an interview last week.
