On today’s edition of The Daily Daily Caller Podcast, we fact-check CNN’s Jim Acosta, who at President Trump’s rally in Florida Monday, complained the crowd was chanting “CNN sucks.” Jim did a little fact-checking and declared that CNN does not, in fact, suck. We fact-check his fact-check.

Jim even lies about the president and White House officials dodging journalists this week. It’s tough to tell if Acosta is oblivious to how bad CNN is or if he truly believes his own reflection in the mirror. Whatever the case, we take him to task and play the audio, which is hilarious, so you can decide for yourself.

The trial of Paul Manafort has started. Trump’s one-time campaign chairman is facing more time than murderers get for what amounts to tax evasion and incorrectly filling out loan forms. If convicted of everything, Manafort could face more than 300 years. This, of course, is a strategy by special counsel Robert Mueller to get Manafort to “flip” on the president, but Manafort says there’s nothing to flip on. It is weird how everyone in Hillary Clinton’s orbit was granted immunity for their testimony and cooperation, no matter what they may have been involved with, but not in the Trump investigation, isn’t it? We discuss.

Facebook has purged some pages on it website because it believed they could be Russian front groups trying to meddle in the 2018 election. These were left-wing groups, anti-Trump groups, and more, which begs the question, if Donald Trump is Putin’s puppet, why would he try to damage him in the midterms? The answer is obvious, Trump is no one’s puppet; Putin is just looking to cause trouble for any U.S. president. Russians want to sow discord, and it seems to be working.
