Sarah Sanders shut down speculation that Trump looks “weak” for tweeting about the Mueller probe Wednesday at the White House.

Sanders got into a blunt back-and-fourth with reporters asking about the president’s recent tweets calling for Jeff Sessions to end the Mueller probe.

A reporter asked about the president’s opinion on whether Sessions should end the Mueller probe but also his opinion that the Mueller probe should play itself out.

Sanders responded that Trump “would like to watch it come to a conclusion since it has been going on for the better part of a year and a half.”

The reporter then asked if the president looks “weak” asking Sessions to fire Mueller instead of doing it himself.:”You also said the president believes he can fire Mueller. Doesn’t it look weak on Twitter for him to say Sessions should end this probe when it is Rosenstein that can end the probe and the president believes he can end the probe?”

Secretary Sanders said directly, “It is not weak for the President of the United States to state his opinion,” and then abruptly walked offstage.
