Comedian Stephen Colbert accused President Donald Trump of committing obstruction of justice on Twitter Wednesday after he urged Attorney General Jeff Sessions to end the Russia probe at once.

Colbert opened the show by mocking Trump for misspelling a word in one of his tweets, while he did a verbal impersonation of the commander-in-chief. (RELATED: Stephen Colbert Torn Over CBS #MeToo Scandal: Make No Mistake, Les Moonves Is My Guy)

“Well another day, another presidential tweet-nado. Get yourself down in the basement, because the tweet-nado’s coming. And brace yourself — this one’s about the Russia investigation,” Colbert said. “We already have a smocking gun about a campaign getting dirt on their opponent, it was Hillary Clinton.”

“Yes we have found the smocking gun. It was not the Trump champagne that was colluding with Russia. Crock-ed Hillary is the one that is guilty of that contusion. Switch punt!”

“And this isn’t even the worst of Trump’s tweets today,” he continued. “Donald Trump is telling his attorney general to shut down the investigation of Donald Trump. Rudy [Giuliani] should tell him that just because he’s doing it in public, doesn’t mean it’s not obstruction of justice. Public urination is still urination.”

Colbert said Trump is “freaking out” over the trial of his former campaign manger Paul Manafort and compared the legal circus to the Harry Potter film franchise.

“This is just Manafort’s first trial,” he said. “He’s actually got another trial coming up in D.C. that will focus more on Manafort’s actual work for Ukraine, rather than his finances. And the charges include conspiracy to defraud the United States.”

“Yes, there’s just too much crime to pack into one trial. They had to split the crimes into two parts, like a Harry potter movie. It’s ‘Paul Manafort and the Prisoner of Lewisburg Federal Penitentiary.'”
