Actress Candace Cameron-Bure left ABC’s “The View” in 2016, but now that there is another seat to fill, she says that the show would be well-served to add another conservative voice in addition to regular co-host Meghan McCain.

Regular co-hosts Sara Haines and Paula Faris have both announced that they are moving on to different ventures, and Bure had nothing but well-wishes for her former colleagues.

“I watch it now and then because I am actually at work during the time that it’s on, so sometimes I’ll catch clips on Facebook or something, but I read the news,” she told Fox News. “I am so happy for Sara [Haines] that she has her own slot with Michael [Strahan] now on ‘GMA.’ That’s fantastic. And Paula [Faris] is moving on as well.”

Bure also noted that she hoped to see another conservative voice join the show, just for balance. She explained, “I really hope that it is a conservative seat because I think it will balance out that table. They need more than one conservative, so I really hope it’s a conservative.”

Since Bure’s departure from the show, the conservative corner has been rounded out by former Fox News personalities Jedediah Bila and Meghan McCain. The other regular hosts, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar and Sunny Hostin, are all decidedly more liberal.
