A dead baby was found on an American Airlines flight at LaGuardia Airport Tuesday morning.
The airport’s cleaning crew found the dead baby in the airplane’s bathroom Tuesday morning during a routine cleaning while the plane sat in a hangar at LaGuardia airport in New York, NBC New York reported.

The cleaning crew discovered the baby around 7:30 a.m on the American Airlines plane sitting in Hangar 5, according to The New York Post.
LaGuardia Airport tweeted Tuesday morning about possible delays due to the out of service airplane.
American Airlines flights at Terminal B may experience some delays due to an out of service aircraft. Please check with @AmericanAir before your departure.

“We are working with law enforcement on an investigation,” an airline spokesman said, The New York Post reported.
The age of the fetus and details about whether the baby was aborted in utero, a result of miscarriage, or died after suffering some other complication have not been reported.
