CNN anchor Don Lemon derided Trump supporters on Tuesday night as people who will “lie to their own mother” in exchange for “political clout.”

Rather than solely taking out his anger at being called “dumb” on Trump, Lemon also tore into Trump’s supporters and mocked them for wanting a tax cut.
“We’re up against tribalism. We’re up against people who will lie, steal and cheat, lie to their own mother, lie to themselves about what’s right for this country, about truth, and about facts,” Lemon asserted, “that they will ignore any misgiving, any terrible deed, any awful saying.”
“They will just ignore it for their own political purpose,” he continued. “They will ignore the bigotry and the pettiness and the childishness about what Donald Trump said about me and LeBron James and others just because they wanna gain some kind of political clout or they want a few more dollars in tax money — at what cost?”
Fellow CNN anchor Chris Cuomo awkwardly smiled during Lemon’s angry rant.
