President Donald Trump teased potential action on special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation in a Thursday tweet airing his grievances on the probe.

Trump has railed against the Mueller investigation and the 2016 FBI investigation into his campaign in recent days alleging abuse of authority and power.

The president has long maintained that the Mueller investigation is a politically motivated investigation that is out to get him and anyone who has associated with him, rather than truly investigate Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.

Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani responded to Mueller’s request to interview the president Wednesday. Mueller has long sought to interview Trump about alleged collusion between his campaign and the Russian government along with alleged obstruction of justice efforts during the early days of the White House.

Giuliani is said to have rejected Mueller’s offer of an interview and made a counter-offer. Trump’s other attorney Jay Sekulow has pledged that any effort by Mueller to subpoena the president will end up in the Supreme Court.
