President Donald Trump called his former aide Omarosa Manigault Newman a ‘”lowlife” in response to a reporter’s question at his resort in Bedminster, New Jersey, Saturday.

The New York Times’ Maggie Haberman asked Trump about a “response to Omarosa,” who has been making headlines with claims about Trump in excerpts of her soon-to-be-released book “Unhinged: An Insider Account of Trump’s White House.”

“Lowlife,” Trump said. “She’s a lowlife.”

The statement was Trump’s “first public denunciation” of Manigault Newman since many of her book’s claims became public ahead of publication, reported The Hill.

Manigault Newman allegedly writes that Trump used the “N-word” and other racial slurs, as well as that Manigault Newman was offered a job and $15,000 a month in exchange for her silence after she was fired from the White House. “The [nondisclosure agreement] attached to the email was as harsh and restrictive as any I’d seen in all my years of television,” Manigault-Newman wrote in her book, according to The Washington Post.
