Vice President Mike Pence tweeted about the tragic death of Iowa college student Mollie Tibbetts, assuring her family and friends that he would pray for them.
Pence tweeted out a story on Tuesday about an illegal immigrant being charged in the murder of the 20-year-old young woman and said he is “heartbroken by the news.”
“Mollie was an amazing young woman and we are praying for her parents, brothers & friends in this time of unimaginable grief,” Pence wrote.

Pence also promised that “justice will be served” in the case.
“We commend the swift action by local, state, & federal investigators working in Iowa in apprehending an illegal immigrant, who’s now charged with first-degree murder,” Pence said. “Now, justice will be served. We will never forget Mollie Tibbetts.”
