ABC released a 15-second teaser for “The Conners” on Friday.

WATCH:

The network’s spinoff for its cancelled hit “Roseanne,” minus its star Roseanne Barr, will focus on how the Conner family carries on after what the network described as a “sudden turn of events.” It’s unclear exactly what that means, although actor John Goodman has suggested that the Roseanne character will likely be killed off.

“Roseanne” was ABC’s top show before Barr sent what many considered to be a racially charged tweet about former Obama staffer Valerie Jarrett, leading to the show’s abrupt cancellation. (RELATED: Roseanne Speaks Out About ABC Outster In Emotional Interview)

The short teaser trailer shows the Conner living room with the song “Anticipation” by Carly Simon playing in the background.

The question “What’s next?” then appears before “The Conners” logo.

“After a sudden turn of events, the Conners are forced to face the daily struggles of life in Lanford in a way they never have before,” reads the official synopsis. “This iconic family — Dan, Jackie, Darlene, Becky and D.J. — grapples with parenthood, dating, an unexpected pregnancy, financial pressures, aging and in-laws in working-class America. Through it all, the fights, the coupon cutting, the hand-me-downs, the breakdowns — with love, humor and perseverance, the family prevails.”

“The Conners” will reportedly premiere on Tuesday, October 16.
