A reporter tweeted Thursday that a toddler was running around the Senate wearing anti-Kavanaugh gear during the SCOTUS nominee’s hearing. GOP Chairwoman Ronna McDaniels jokingly compared the toddler to Cory Booker.

Politico congressional reporter Burgess Everett tweeted, “There is a toddler running around a Senate Office building wearing anti-Kavanaugh gear,” Thursday.

McDaniels quote-tweeted Everett and added, “That’s no way to talk about Cory Booker.” (GOP Chairwoman: DC’s Obsession Over Woodward Book Proves The Swamp Is Out Of Touch)

Booker made news during the hearing on Thursday when he claimed he leaked confidential documents to The New York Times relating to the judge’s work in the George W. Bush White House. In fact, the George W. Bush Library said later Thursday that the documents had already been cleared for public release. (RELATED: Cory Booker Says He Leaked Confidential Kavanaugh Docs. “We cleared the documents last night shortly after Senator Booker’s staff asked us to,” Bush Library representative Bill Burck said in a statement. “We were surprised to learn about Senator Booker’s histrionics this morning because we had already told him he could use the documents publicly.”

“In fact, we have said yes to every request made by the Senate Democrats to make documents public,” Burck added.
