Judge Kavanaugh is sailing through his Senate Judiciary hearing.
The three days of testimony have seen few moments of real drama. Senate Democrats called for a delay in the hearing and multiple Dem Senators chastised Republicans for making some of the documents from Kavanaugh’s past “committee confidential.”
Multiple Senators began “leaking” documents to the public even though, as it turns out, the documents had already been approved for public release.
The questioning of Kavanaugh revealed no smoking gun or bombshells, in part because over 400,000 documents on the judge had already been released. The major disruptions of the hearing came from the audience. The hearing was packed with protesters and hundreds were removed throughout the course of the hearing.

Typically, a protester would chant a slogan or just scream in the gallery in the back of the room. Capitol Police would then remove them after a few seconds. An hour would not go by without such a disturbance, sometimes with multiple protesters getting dragged out at a time.
