Presidential counselor Kellyanne Conway took a dig at former President Barack Obama for admitting the economy is doing well under President Donald Trump, in a Thursday morning interview on “Fox & Friends.”
“We finally found a Democrat who thinks the economy is doing well under President Trump,” Conway said. “President Obama.”
Conway contrasted Obama’s admission with ongoing messaging from members of the Democratic Party who have sought to diminish the robust economic indicators under the Trump administration.
Conway then tweeted the similar dig at Obama:

Obama claimed credit for much of the success seen under Trump in a Friday campaign speech: “When you hear about this economic miracle that’s been going on, when the job numbers come out, monthly job numbers, suddenly Republicans are saying it’s a miracle. I have to kind of remind them — actually, those job numbers are the same as they were in 2015 and 2016,” he said.
