President Donald Trump implored citizens to heed mandatory evacuation orders from public officials in the wake of Hurricane Florence bearing down on the U.S. East Coast.

“Don’t play games,” Trump warned. The president continued that experts believed that the storm would be of historic proportions and cause significant damage in its wake. “They haven’t seen anything like what’s coming at us in 25, 30 years. Maybe ever. It’s tremendously big and tremendously wet. Tremendous amounts of water,” he said in an Oval Office address Tuesday.

The National Hurricane Center warned that life-threatening storm surges, flooding and wind damage are coming for citizens and continues to release timely updates on the track of the storm.
