Former New York City mayor and billionaire owner of business news network Michael Bloomberg is reportedly set to make a run at the Democratic nomination for the 2020 presidential election.

“Mike Bloomberg told me he is going to run in 2020,” an anonymous source told The Times, a UK paper. “He has the money to see it through while other candidates knock themselves out.” (RELATED: Report: Bloomberg Is Preparing For A Possible Run At Trump In 2020)

According to CBS2, the New York affiliate, the decision is partially fueled by regret because he believes he could’ve won against President Trump or could’ve at least prevented him from winning.

He previously considered presidential runs back in 2008, 2012, and again in 2016 but decided against it.

Bloomberg is one of potentially a dozen Democratic candidates who will seek out the party’s nomination for 2020. However, the only Democrat who has already officially declared their candidacy is Maryland representative John Delaney.  (RELATED: There Are Over A Dozen Democrats Considering Running Against Trump In 2020)
