Alec Baldwin said he will play President Donald Trump again on the upcoming season of “Saturday Night Live.”

“I think I’m going to do some of it, but not a whole lot,” Baldwin said on the Origins podcast, according to the Hollywood Reporter. “Because I also think, and this is critical, there is a lot of fatigue here.”

“I have fun doing it, there’s no doubt about that,” he said. “They are all old and dear friends of mine, and I love going there. When the show is good, there is nothing like it.” (RELATED: Alec Baldwin Says He Can Beat Trump in 2020)

“SNL” creator Lorne Michaels then shared that he only recently learned that Baldwin would be returning.

“Sometimes I feel like we are still in campaign mode,” Michaels explained. “But, I thought — [Alec and I] see each other a fair amount, so we don’t much talk about it in the offseason. And then, I think he was at the U.S. Open last week, and somebody asked him if he was doing Trump. And he said, ‘yea.’ And his agent Matt DelPiano texted me and said, ‘I think he’s doing Trump.’ And I went, oh, OK. But, he is somebody you know you can always count on.”

Season 44 of “Saturday Night Live” premieres Sept. 29.
