Former Hillary Clinton campaign official Adrienne Elrod said that “the burden” of evidence in the sexual misconduct case against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh by his accuser, Christine Blasey Ford, needed to find Kavanaugh innocent is on the judge himself during a panel on Fox News Friday afternoon.

The panel was made up of Elrod, Fox News host Ed Henry and Wall Street Journal reporter Shelby Holliday.

“Well, and that’s the point. There is no DNA evidence. There wouldn’t be any DNA evidence. She is not accusing him of rape. But, look, the burden of proof on this is on Brett Kavanaugh. He is the one who is trying to be the next Supreme Court justice of the United States. So there’s more at stake for him then certainly there is for her,” Elrod stated.

She continued, “I am just simply saying, if he wants to get confirmed by the Senate, the burden of proof is on his side. He’s got to prove that he wasn’t there.”

“And then look at, like, Richard Blumenthal — Democrat from Connecticut — who said something yesterday like, ‘I believe her.’ How do you know that? I can’t say I believe him or I believe her. We haven’t heard from either of them. I’m sorry, but you are saying basically that Judge Kavanaugh, that the burden of proof is on him to prove that he didn’t grope her. He has denied it. He said I wasn’t even there,” Ed Henry added.

Kavanaugh is scheduled to testify again in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee on Monday. (RELATED: Report: Kavanaugh Accuser Wants To Testify Next Thursday)
