MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough predicted on Tuesday’s “The View” that, athough he would like to see an FBI investigation into claims against the Supreme Court nominee, he believes that Judge Brett Kavanaugh will survive the scandal “at the end of the day.”

“Morning Joe” cohost Mika Brzezinski laid the groundwork by explaining that, without an FBI investigation, no one was really getting the due process that should be afforded to all Americans.

“What we have in the media right now is a trial and a conviction happening in the media. This is so bad for our country and this is what Trump wants. We need an FBI investigation.”

Scarborough then picked up where she left off. “You have Democratic senators that are going out …” he began. “You have got Democratic senators that are basically saying, ‘I don’t need to hear Kavanaugh. He is a rapist.’ You have Republican senators going out there and going, ‘I don’t need to hear these women, they’re lying.’ Due process. We still have due process in America. Turn it over to the FBI. Let them investigate.”

“Do you think he survives?”

“At the end of the day, I think he does,” Scarborough responded.
