Joe Scarborough, host of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” made a surprising admission on ABC’s “The View” on Tuesday: There are actually a few people within the Trump administration that he likes.

Referencing the New York Times op-ed that was allegedly written by a resistance member inside the White House, Scarborough argued that having people on the inside helping to balance the president was probably a good thing.

“Not to make it too personal,” he said to Abby Huntsman, “but I’m very glad your dad [Jon Huntsman] is in Russia, and I mean that seriously.”

Scarborough then went on to list those within Trump’s inner circle whom he believes are good people doing good work for the country. “I’m very glad that Mattis is at the DOD. We have got some good people in there. I’m very glad that Dan Coates is the Director of National Intelligence. There are people who are speaking truth to power.”

Scarborough concluded by saying that they should challenge the president when they believe he is going the wrong direction, but that they should do so openly.

“I will say though, they need to convince the president to move in a different direction,” he explained. “They don’t need to be subverting his will. He was elected. Whether we like it or not, the man won the Electoral College.”
