A letter sent by lawyers for Dr. Christine Blasey Ford has called into question whether she will testify on Thursday regarding her allegations against Supreme Court justice nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh.
Blasey Ford’s lawyer Michael R. Bromwich sent a letter to Sen. Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley on Monday, which criticized Sen. Mitch McConnell’s speech on the Senate floor calling the allegations a “smear campaign.” The letter expressed skepticism that Blasey Ford would receive the “fair and credible process” that would ensure her “fair and respectful treatment.”
In new letter from Dr Ford’s Attorney to the Judiciary Committee, they again object to having outside counsel ask the questions for republicans at Thursday’s hearing, and ask for the name and resume of who that person will be.
