Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Liberal Party issued some “Turkey talk tools” for the party faithful on Sunday as Canadians prepare to celebrate their Thanksgiving holiday.

Not wanting party members to be at a loss for words if criticism of the Trudeau government arises over dinner, the Liberals have issued five talking points that cover some of the major issues in Canadian politics: the new U.S.-Mexico-Canada Trade Agreement (USMCA), legalized marijuana, the border crisis, climate change and doubts about Trudeau being about “real change.”

The talking points on “Why aren’t you closing our borders?” insist that the Conservatives’ claim of a “border crisis” is “full of baloney” because, “Canada welcomes immigrants and diversity is one of our greatest strengths.”

If anyone at the Thanksgiving table dares to suggest that “Climate change is a hoax” or interrupts the tranquility of the evening by declaring “Stop the carbon tax!” the Liberal Party suggests reminding them that “climate change is real and our plan is working to  protect a healthy environment while growing our economy and creating good middle class jobs.”
