Bette Midler, Rosie O’Donnell and a handful of other celebs Tuesday took to Twitter to slam President Donald Trump’s plans for a July 4th celebration in Washington, D.C.

“He’s [Trump] demanding big tanks on the mall, For his Fourth of July Big Ass Ball,” the 73-year-old singer tweeted. “He wants soldiers, firecrackers, Flyovers and Fox yakkers And your taxes to pay for it all!!” (RELATED: Rosie O’Donnell, Celebs Continue to Slam Trump Following Executive Order To Keep Families Together On Border)

A short time earlier, she also said the president’s July 4th plans for a “Salute to America” Thursday on the National Mall was nothing except a “salute to himself,” while attacking him for not showing concern about the highest-temperatures to ever hit France last week in the town of Gallargues-le-Montueux, per the Hill.

“An unheard of 115 degrees in France, one of our allies, and Mr Trump is only interested in putting tanks on the Mall for his salute to himself July 4th. I am so ashamed,” Midler tweeted to her millions of followers. (RELATED: Trump Decides On Fate Of Military Parade)

And she wasn’t only celebrity to speak out on Twitter about the celebration.
