House Speaker Nancy Pelosi snapped at a reporter during a news conference Thursday in response to their questions concerning impeachment witnesses, specifically Republican South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham’s threat to call FBI agents to testify.

“Your question is a waste of time,” Pelosi said during her weekly news conference on the Hill. (RELATED: ‘Don’t Mess With Me’: Nancy Pelosi Snaps At Reporter Who Asked If She Hates Trump)

Her comments came after she refused to answer questions about the necessity of impeachment after now-former President Trump has left office, deflecting the answer to the Trump legal defense team.

“We don’t have to defend why it is necessary,” Pelosi said. “They are going to be there to present the case … and we don’t have to talk about who is going to be there or not cause we just don’t know.”

Whether or not to have witnesses was a contentious topic during the first impeachment trial in January of 2020, and it appears to be just as contentious this time around. Graham was asked about the possibility of witnesses, and he made the threat to call in the FBI if Democrats insisted on witnesses in the trial. There’s mounting evidence that the people came to Washington preplanned the attack before the president ever spoke,” Graham said.  “If you open up that can of worms, we’ll want the FBI to come in and tell us about how people preplanned this attack and what happened with the security footprint of the Capitol. You open up Pandora’s box if you call one witness.”

Pelosi ended her press conference by saying that senators who voted to convict would be courageous and those who voted against would be cowards.

“We’ll see if it’s going to be a Senate of courage, or cowards,” she continued.”
