It's been a big week for 26-year-old superstar Katy Perry. The ultimate California girl landed an impressive nine nominations for the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, crushing fellow pop princesses Lady Gaga and Britney Spears. The fashion-forward diva and the old-school former teeny-bopper nabbed only three and two nominations respectively. Perry leads the pack in all of the major categories, including Video of the Year and Best Pop Video.
