Americans owe Ron Paul a huge debt of gratitude. Four years ago, while Republican candidates for president were talking positively about trillion-dollar adventures in the Middle East, the congressman from Texas built his candidacy for the White House on the principles of sound fiscal management and military restraint. Last month American reporters expressed concern at a recent study published by the Conference Board which claimed that the US economy would be overtaken by China in two short years.  This alarming news came just weeks after a ranking of the world’s most powerful people put President Barack Obama at number two -- beaten into second place by Chinese premier Hu Jintao. (more)

After a bruising primary season, the GOP establishment is trying to come to terms with a Tea Party movement that enjoys the loyalty of thousands of activists across the country.  Tales of infighting are already starting to circulate.  But while the moderate and conservative wings of the Republican Party are sniping at each other, they can at least agree on something: the mainstream media remains overwhelmingly biased in favor of the Democratic Party and President Barack Obama. (more)
