Jim Cowen

Director of Military Affairs, Collaborative for Student Success

Jim Cowen is director of military affairs for the Collaborative for Student<br /> Success (forstudentsuccess.org), an Alexandria, Va.-based non-profit<br /> organization dedicated to raising education standards. Prior to joining the Collaborative, Jim served 10 years on active duty as an officer in the U.S. Navy where his assignments included Deputy Public Affairs Officer for the Chief of Naval Operations and Fire Control Officer onboard the guided missile destroyer USS STOUT (DDG 55). He currently lives in Virginia with his wife and children.
