Jason Katz is the founder of the Tool Shed Group, LLC, a strategic communications firm specializing in public relations, public affairs, crisis management, political and policy analysis, and business development. Mr. Katz specializes in the international, national, state, regional, and local arenas serving as a principal advisor to foreign governments, quasi-governmental entities, NGOs and non-profit organizations, corporations, and executives.<br /> <br /> Recognized as an authority in strategic communications and on U.S., Eurasian, and Middle Eastern affairs, Mr. Katz lectures and leads seminars for various governments and governmental departments and ministries, NGOs, and organizations and on various topics, including: strategic communications (campaigns and grassroots), Executive branch and Congressional advocacy, energy, and geopolitics.<br /> <br /> Mr. Katz is also a prolific writer and commentator on international issues and in what manner the United States navigates these issues. He is a regular contributor to the Huffington Post and his opinion articles are regularly read in the National Review, The Hill, Roll Call, and The Media Line, amongst others.<br /> <br /> Mr. Katz served for eight years as the Director of Public Relations and Public Affairs for the American Jewish Committee (AJC), in Los Angeles. In his capacity for one of the premier and most influential Jewish think tank and advocacy NGOs, Mr. Katz was charged with the overall image and institutional strategy for AJC in the media and halls of power. He was primarily charged with running the organization’s “public relations, political, and policy shops,” which develop and implement AJC’s public profile and legislative agenda and advocate on issues such as security, counter-terrorism, public safety, immigration, church-state, public education, and numerous other local, state, and national and international issues. Following AJC, Mr. Katz served as the Vice President of Corporate and Public Affairs for Town Hall Los Angeles, a think tank tasked with shaping and driving myriad issues associated with American public policy. <br /> <br /> The Tool Shed Group keeps offices in Los Angeles, Denver, and Washington DC. Mr. Katz resides in Denver with his wife, Dr. Mallory Moss, a prominent Doctor of Nursing and psychiatric nurse practitioner, and has three children, Ilan, Gabriel, and Jordanna.
