Not that he can't be both. But if it's such a big deal that he's finally making a statement one way or the other about gay marriage -- one that doesn't hem and haw about how his opinion is "evolving" -- he has to be at least one of those two things. If you're in favor of gay marriage and you think anybody who isn't is a bigot, then Obama was a bigot until yesterday. If you're in favor of gay marriage and you think Obama has secretly agreed with you the whole time, then Obama is a liar.  (more)
