Sarah Perry is FRC's Common Core Coalition Manager, where she oversees research, education, and publications related to educational reform and the Common Core State Standards Initiative. Sarah is an attorney with a degree from the University of Virginia School of Law, where she was on the editorial board of the Virginia Journal of International Law. Sarah graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Journalism from Liberty University, where she was features article editor for the Liberty Champion Newspaper. A Wisconsin native, she developed an interest in public policy at an early age, leading student pro-life efforts at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and testifying before the Wisconsin State Legislature in support of parental notification laws. Sarah also spent time clerking at The Rutherford Institute, where she handled media relations and organized conferences to keep staff attorneys advised of the changing legal and political landscape.<br /> <br /> After six years in private practice where she focused on business litigation, commercial document drafting, and business development, Sarah took on an adjunct professorship, teaching Business Ethics at the Community College of Baltimore County. After the birth of her first child, she transitioned full time to writing, first co-authoring When the Fairy Dust Settles: A Mother and Her Daughter Discuss What Really Matters (Warner Faith), and later contributing to various magazines, newspapers, and blogs. Her next book is slated for release in April of 2015 (Revell).
