As many have known for years and warned frequently, the Democratic Party strategy of race-baiting was merely a tactic to gain political power for their White leadership. Sound really cynical? Take a look at the new strategy. Old habits die hard, as the saying goes. And so, too, do deeply-rooted, institutional policies reflective of a rotten core…like the Democratic Party’s harboring of bold racial animus and disdain while claiming the mantle of “diversity,” and at the same time, employing the most overtly divisive racial political strategies seen in this country during the past 60 years. A new wave of corruption scandals is building in Washington. Or, rather, we’re beginning to see the wave come ashore. This time, it’s Democrats washing up – Charlie Rangel, Maxine Waters and a host of other representatives up on ethical and possible criminal charges. Three months to go before the midterm elections and the conservative airwaves abound with optimism. If it’s “all about the economy, stupid,” that explains why the Democrats are circling the wagons. Still, I’m not nearly as sanguine as the conservative talk-show hosts that a critical mass of American voters will connect the dots, and therefore make no predictions about the outcome. I do predict, however, even as the campaign speeches become increasingly strident, that you won’t hear the following from America’s Liberal elites anytime soon: (more)
What are we to make of Congressman Charles Rangel now that even President Obama has thrown him “under the bus” (something Obama is expert at doing to anyone inconvenient, so look out Maxine), saying that Rangel should “end his career with dignity”? Perhaps we need to look back to whence Rangel came from, New York’s “Adam Clayton Powell, Junior” Congressional District. (more)
