Thank God that in a sports weekend almost ruined by four disappointing, mind-numblingly drama-free NFL playoff games, we had the epic clash that was played out at the US Nationals Men Figure Skating Finals in Spokane. Of course I’m sure most of you are saying “But Jerry, wasn’t it almost the exact same results as last year’s Nationals?” and you’d be right. But this year with three… count ‘em, three… spots on the Olympic teams at stake, the pressure was off the charts and virtually everyone of the top competitors rose to the occasion. (more)
