CHICAGO (AP) — The Chicago Stock Exchange said Thursday it has a new tiered fee structure designed to reward its most active customers and offer incentives to firms that regularly direct business to the exchange.

The new fees applies to trading in stocks priced over $1 during the regular session.

As of Monday, customers executing 5 million shares of average daily volume get the highest rebates and pay the lowest fees, the exchange said in a statement.

“We have implemented a fee structure which will reward loyal active customers while providing a strong basic plan for customers who access CHX on a less regular basis,” CEO Dave Herron said.
