STORRS, Conn. (AP) — Connecticut point guard Tiffany Hayes left the Huskies’ game against Cincinnati on Thursday night with an apparent injury to her left ankle.

She and Cincinnati guard Shareese Ulis both crashed to the floor as Ulis drove to the basket just 2½ minutes into the contest.

Hayes, who was called for a foul on the play, did not put any weight on the leg as she was taken off the court, but later limped to the training room.

Hayes has been averaging over 11 points and four rebounds per game for the top-ranked Huskies.
