LONDON (AP) — British police say there has been a security incident at London’s Heathrow Airport, and witnesses said at least one passenger was removed from a jet.
Witnesses told Sky News that armed police officers boarded a plane bound for Dubai and arrested a man.
“Basically the police just swarmed the guy and rushed him out,” passenger Cameron Mclean told the television channel by phone. “We’ve been told not to stand up. … We’re going to be moved to a safe place.”
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said they were aware of an incident, but provided no details. The airport remained open.
There was no immediate comment from Heathrow authorities.
