MACHIAS, Maine (AP) — It’s been over five years since the election in which President George W. Bush won a second term. But Ralph Nader hasn’t given up his desire to air an alleged conspiracy to keep him off the 2004 presidential ballot.

A lawsuit in Maine contends John Kerry and other Democratic leaders conspired to try to keep Nader off the ballot in more than a dozen states including Maine.

Nader tried to sue in 2007 in the Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, but that lawsuit was tossed because the three-year statute of limitations expired.

Nader’s lawyer, Oliver Hall, says Maine’s statute of limitations is more generous. The suit was filed in November in Washington County Superior Court.
