The Obama administration is set to announce on Friday afternoon the award of $2.3 billion in tax credits for projects to manufacture “clean” energy components in the United States, and claimed the incentives will create tens of thousands of jobs.
Obama is slated to discuss the funding in remarks Friday, comments that follow a Labor Department report showing that the economy shed 85,000 jobs in December and the unemployment rate remained static at 10 percent.
