Recalls: bicycles and framesets, LED light kits

The following recalls have been announced:

— About 350 Redline Conquest Pro Bicycles and Framesets, year 2010, because the bicycle’s fork legs can separate from the fork crown and cause the rider to lose control, posing a risk of injury. They were made in Taiwan and distributed by Seattle Bike Supply, of Kent, Wash. The company is aware of three reports of forks separating. Minor injuries were reported in one of the incidents. The recall involves all 2010 Redline Conquest Pro Cyclocross bicycles and framesets. They were sold at bicycle specialty stores nationwide between August and November 2009. — About 2,200 LED light kits, made in China and distributed by Rockler Companies Inc., of Medina, Minn., because defective wiring can cause the battery pack to overheat and explode, posing a risk of burn and fire hazards. No incidents or injuries have been reported. The recall involves Rockler LED lights with either an interchangeable spotlight head or a magnifying head.
